Clicking Away

Hi everyone! I’ve been slacking with the food photography photos lately- but for good reason! I have been doing back to back photo shoots, and I even got a surprise visit from Erica this weekend! It’s been wonderful, besides my constant headache. I’ve been eating a ton of great food, including the creamiest hummus, tastiest stuffed grape leaves and a midnight stop at Miya’s Sushi for some late night snack. It was incredible. Definitely the best of all time. I didn’t have my camera on me, but I did snap an iPhone picture.
Let me tell you, we FEASTED. The night ended with belly aches, but it was oh so worth it. On our sushi plate, we’ve got a Kiss The Smiling Piggie Roll (sweet potatoes, pine nuts, mango chutney), Charlie Chan Roll (broccoli, black beans, garlic), Curry Cauliflower Roll, Artichoke Cumin Roll, and a Wandering Poet Roll (every vegetable you can imagine). AMAZING! I can’t say enough good things about Miya’s. I’ve posted about Miya’s quite a bit, so if you’d like to see some quality photos, search for Miya’s in the search bar on the right.
After Erica had to leave today (sniff sniff), my mom came over to keep my company. Thankfully, she brought Thai food!! I’ve had a serious craving lately.

We shared spring rolls, tofu triangles, and hot basil vegetables. Outstanding!
Oh, and about those photo shoots! I’ve started a shiny, brand new photography blog! You can check it out at NicoleCarpenterPhotography.com. I am so excited to share my passion, beyond food photos, with you all. I hope you will take a look and let me know what you think!
Here’s a sneek peak from a shoot I did with my friend and fellow artist, Andrew. If you want to see more, you’ll have to check out my new blog!

By the way, if you’re in the Connecticut area and need a photographer, let me know! I am working on improving and building my portfolio and need all the models I can get
