Alex’s Benefit Show

14 Dec

Hi friends!  Last night I had the pleasure of taking photos and video at a show that was put on to benefit my good friend, Alex.  Alex was hit by a drunk driver a couple months ago and is in rehab in Atlanta, Georgia.  (I also wrote about it here)  My buddy Andrew put together this show to raise money to help Alex and his family with the wicked medical bills and other needs.  The show was a serious success!

A ton of money was raised!  I was supposed to sell prints of my photography at the show, but I forgot, so I’m now going to open it up to the blog world.  If you’d like to donate to Alex and his family, please email me at carpentern2@gmail.com and I will send you a print of any photo off my flickr site, and I’ll throw in some delicious, baked vegan treats as well!

Anyway, as I said, the show was one heck of a success.  It was pretty much my first time really taking video or photos at a show, and I think I did a good job!

And of course, if you’d like to see video of the bands, check them out!  I’ve got video of Fugue, Signal The Escape, Sleeping At The End Of The World, and Joe Ballaro.

I’ll be back with some food soon, I hope.  I’ve been having laptop/camera/memory card issues.  My camera/laptop ate a ton of video and photos from yesterday.  Boohoo!

I wanted to go to that show so badly but I had to work. A kid from one of my courses at HCC was playing. I’m really glad to hear that the turn out was so great though.

this horrible accident just happened to a friend of mine also in Georgia. She was jogging and hit by a car early in the morning in September. She was in critical condition for about 1.5 months and unconcsious but now struggling to eat and talk.
I will keep your friend in my thoughts as well and feel so inspired that you were able to pull this together for him and reallly got to make something work to help him!
    Congrats girlie!
