Nine ways to shake, stir and strain your way to a classy evening drink

Princess Mary’s pride
30ml Dubonnet; 30ml dry vermouth; 60ml calvados
Shake with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass or coupette; garnish with orange zest.

Peter Pan martini
30ml dry vermouth; 30ml gin; 30ml freshly squeezed orange juice
Shake with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass or coupette; garnish with orange zest.

Affinity cocktail
30ml dry vermouth; 30ml sweet vermouth; 30ml whisky
Stir over ice in a mixing glass, strain into a chilled cocktail glass or coupette, and garnish with a cocktail cherry.

Chrysanthemum
50ml dry vermouth; 25ml benedictine; 10ml absinthe
Stir over ice in a chilled mixing glass, strain into a cocktail glass and garnish with a twist of orange peel.

Bijou (Savoy version)
20ml sweet vermouth; 25ml gin; 20ml green chartreuse; dash orange bitters
Shake with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass; garnish with a twist of lemon peel.

Trinity
25ml dry vermouth; 25ml sweet vermouth; 25ml gin
Stir over ice in a chilled mixing glass, strain into a cocktail glass and garnish with a twist of lemon peel.

Reverse martini
60ml dry vermouth; 30ml gin
Stir over ice in a mixing glass, strain into a chilled cocktail glass or coupette, and garnish with lemon zest.

Adonis
30ml sweet vermouth; 60ml fino sherry; 2 dashes orange bitters
Stir over ice in a mixing glass, strain into a chilled cocktail glass or coupette, and garnish with orange zest.

Negroni twist
30ml Lillet Blanc; 30ml Aperol; 30ml gin
Stir over ice in a “rocks” glass or tumbler; garnish with a wedge of orange.
